The G-lambda project, in cooperation with the US Enlightened computing
project, successfully conducted an experiment in which bandwidth between
Japan and the US and computing resources in Japan and the US were
simultaneously reserved and the applications were executed. This was the
first experiment carried out at such scale in the world.
